New writing progression
Writing Progression is being developed in collaboration with The Writing Revolution, ensuring a structured and research-informed approach. To support this, video lessons and accompanying PowerPoints have been created to enhance teaching and learning. Additionally, more writing quizzes are being introduced to reinforce key skills. Whole-class feedback is provided with clear next steps to guide improvement, alongside personalised pupil-level analysis to target individual needs more effectively.

The Writing Hub features an extensive programme of CPD on teaching & assessing writing. The webinars explain the ideal way to use all of the Hub resources and the insights we have gained from all of our national assessments.
2. Teaching resources
The Writing Hub hosts video lessons and PowerPoint slides that focus on the key writing concepts pupils find difficult to understand.
3. Exemplars
You can download the results as a CSV file. If you took part in a national assessment, you will also get a PDF results report.
